Job summary

Blackstone Independent Special Day School in Royston is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support students aged 6 to 19 with MLD/SLD, autism and related needs. You will assist across the curriculum, in classrooms and community settings, and you will contribute to safeguarding and inclusive practice.

The role offers full-time hours (40 per week, Mon–Fri, term-time only) with funded training and a £1,000 welcome bonus on top of the annual salary.

Qualifications

• Support students with learning, development and progress across the curriculum.
• Assist students with needs including PMLD, autism and complex conditions.
• Demonstrate safeguarding values and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Support learning across classroom, local environment and community.
• Provide high quality support and empower young people.
• Work as part of a team and independently when required.
• Participate in training and development activities funded by the school.
