Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or equivalent and passing Praxis Parapro or GACE Parapro, or 60Semester/90Quarter hours PSC approved
• Paraprofessional Educator certificate issued by Georgia PSC is required
• Experience in a licensed child care environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Adapt classroom activities and materials to reinforce IEP objectives.
• Provide immediate first aid and medical assistance as directed by a health care professional.
• Administer tests, homework, and make-up work to support teachers in the classroom.
• Assist students with disabilities with grooming, community accessibility, and daily needs.
• Confer with teachers on progress and implementing IEP objectives.
• Implement and collect data under supervision of teachers for IEP reinforcement.
• Monitor students to provide a safe and positive learning environment.
• Perform record keeping and data collection to support teachers.
