Job summary

Targeted Provision in the United Kingdom is seeking SEND Tutors and Teachers to support vulnerable learners with SEND and SEMH across schools and local authorities. Roles include Maths, English or Science tuition, delivered in-person, hybrid, or remote with flexible hours to suit your schedule.

You will work in a trauma-informed way, with CPD support and mentorship, contributing to a community-focused mission and reimagining support for young people in need.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or PMLD.
• Familiarity teaching English, Maths and/or Science.
• QTS/QTLS certification required or in progress.
• Enhanced DBS and 2+ references provided or facilitated.

Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online or hybrid Maths, English or Science tuition to learners with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Plan lessons, deliver trauma-informed tutoring, and report progress to local authorities or schools.
• Support pupils from KS1 to KS5 where appropriate and provide regular feedback.

SEND Tutor And Teacher Role Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor And Teacher Role And Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online / remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
• We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
