Job summary

Targeted Provision seeks SEND Tutors and Teachers to work with Schools and Local Authorities across the UK. Roles cover Core Subjects Maths, English, or Science, with SEND and SEMH needs, using trauma-informed approaches to transform lives.

Flexible, self-employed tutoring opportunities—in person, hybrid, or remote—with part-time to full-time hours to fit your schedule. Competitive pay (£28-£35 per hour) and CPD support are provided to empower you to make a difference.

Qualifications

• 2+ years teaching experience with SEND/SEMH in schools or similar settings.
• Experience delivering Maths, English or Science to diverse learners.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and trauma-informed approaches.

Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online or hybrid Maths, English or Science tutoring to learners with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Plan lessons, deliver flexible tutoring and report progress to guardians or authorities as applicable.
• Offer regular feedback on student progress and maintain safe learning environments.
• Collaborate with Local Authorities and schools to support learners from KS1–KS5 as appropriate.

SEND Tutor And Teacher Role Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

The SEND Tutor And Teacher Role And Responsibilities

• Provide in person, online / remote, and hybridMaths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
• Support pupils and students, ranging from KS1 - KS5 (as appropriate for your skills), referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
• We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasingly supporting children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties).
