Job summary

East Cheshire NHS Trust is seeking a registered Dental Nurse to cover maternity leave at Weston Clinic, Macclesfield. The role is fixed term, part time (29 hours over 4 days per week) until January 2028, supporting clinicians in specialist community dental services including Special Care Dentistry and paediatric exodontia.

You will provide chair-side assistance, support in theatre settings, and ensure infection control and instrument processing to HTM01-05 standards while using dental software

Qualifications

• Registered dental nurse qualification (NEBDN) or equivalent.
• Evidence of continued professional development relevant to post.
• Competency in literacy and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide chair-side assistance and clinical support in clinics and theatres.
• Assist in special care dentistry and paediatric exodontia across a broad client base.
• Decontaminate, sterilise and maintain dental instruments to HTM01-05 standards.
• Input patient notes and charting into dental software.
