Job summary

East Cheshire NHS Trust is inviting applications for a highly motivated dental nurse to join the Community Dental Service. This permanent part-time role (up to 15 hours/week) is based at Church View PCC, Nantwich, supporting clinicians and maintaining high standards of patient care.

The post requires Full DCP registration with the GDC and a dental nurse qualification. Enhanced DBS check is essential, with overseas police clearance if applicable.

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Community Dental Services (CDS) at East Cheshire NHS Trust, as a dental nurse, supporting the service in delivering a high standard of care to our patients. This will be a permanent part time position, which will give the successful applicant an insight & experience of working within the CDS., The post holder will work clinically with a dentist or therapist and carry out decontamination duties, as part of the dental nursing team.

Good clinical and patient-management skills will enable the post-holder to achieve a high level of personal job satisfaction and provide excellent patient care., We welcome applications from Graduate visa holders; it is important to note that you must have a minimum of 12 months before this expires at the start of your employment for training and operational reasons., Please be aware that this post requires an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check with barred lists, the cost of which is payable by the successful candidate. If you have lived or worked abroad for 6 months or more in the last 5 years you will need to obtain an overseas police clearance. The Community Dental Service is an integral part of East Cheshire NHS Trust, delivering special care dentistry and paediatric exodontia services, to patients referred to us.

There will be an opportunity to work across all CDS clinics and supporting in theatres at the hospital sites .

Full DCP registration with the GDC is required. A post certification in dental nurse sedation is desirable.

The successful candidate will be based at Church View PCC, Nantwich.

Hours of work - up to 15 hours per week (negotiable)
