We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Spanish & French Teacher to join our vibrant and dedicated Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) department at a forward-thinking secondary school in Stevenage. The successful candidate will have the ability to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, and ideally Key Stage 5, fostering a love of languages and intercultural understanding.
Deliver high-quality teaching in both Spanish and French across the relevant key stages.
Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with national curriculum requirements.
Assess, track, and report on student progress to ensure all pupils achieve their potential.
Create a stimulating learning environment that promotes enjoyment of languages.
Contribute to the development and enrichment of the MFL curriculum.
Participate fully in departmental meetings, school training, and extra-curricular activities.
Maintain effective communication with parents and carers regarding student progress.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Degree in Modern Foreign Languages or a related field.
Proven experience teaching Spanish and French at secondary level (KS3-KS4, KS5 desirable).
Excellent subject knowledge and a strong grasp of language pedagogy.
Strong classroom management skills with a commitment to inclusive education.
Passionate about student achievement and personal development.
Experience with GCSE and A-Level examination preparation.
Ability to contribute to school trips, exchanges, or extracurricular language clubs.
