Job Description:

We are recruiting on behalf of one of our clients within the Chislehurst area who are seeking a part-time well-qualified and enthusiastic language teacher, to teach Spanish from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4 and French at KS3.

The ideal candidate is someone who will provide an excellent education for those students choosing to study languages to become a successful learner and well-rounded individual who is excited to take the next steps in their learning journey.

The School’s aim is to ensure that students leaving their school are young individuals who can step into the world with confidence in their abilities, who are eager to embrace opportunities, and who have an understanding and practical experience of working alongside people from different backgrounds and cultures.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Demonstrate a high standard of competence in teaching Spanish and French.
  • Efficient delivery of the curriculum which includes planning schemes of work, preparing lessons in accordance with examination requirements, setting prep and marking work.
  • Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students.
  • Be a role model for students, inspiring them to be actively interested in your subject.
  • Monitor and support the mental health needs of students.
  • Comply with the School’s Safeguarding Policy to ensure the welfare of students.

Requirements:

  • Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant degree
  • Experience teaching Spanish and French across secondary schools and further education.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and enjoy working in a school environment.
  • Punctual, trustworthy and can work as part of a team and to develop and maintain positive relationships with all staff.
