ALTEN is seeking a Spacecraft Quality Inspector to join our team in Guildford. You will support inspection and verification of high-value engineering products throughout manufacturing and assembly, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in aerospace/space.
• Experience performing dimensional and visual inspections on precision components.
• Familiarity with quality management systems.
• Experience identifying and managing non-conformances.
• Strong attention to detail and methodical inspection approach.
• Ability to produce accurate documentation and inspection reports.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of components to ensure compliance with drawings and quality standards.
• Conduct dimensional and visual inspections using inspection tools.
• Review manufacturing documentation and quality reports.
• Identify, record, and report non-conformances and support corrective actions.
• Verify processes and products comply with requirements.
• Support First Article Inspections (FAI) and various inspections.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering and quality teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate quality documentation and records.
• Participate in audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure inspection activities follow quality systems and health & safety procedures.
