Job Title: Spacecraft Production Operator

Location: Portsmouth, UK

Job Type: 6 Months

Work Type: Onsite

Job Description :

  • We are seeking a skilled Spacecraft Production Operator to support the assembly, integration, and testing (AIT) of spacecraft payloads and active antennas. You will work within a highly technical environment at the forefront of aerospace innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct mechanical integration of spacecraft payload equipment, waveguides, coaxial cables, test instrumentation, and thermal hardware (MLI, heaters).
  • Perform electrical integration including DC harness work, connector mating/de-mating, and RF measurements.
  • Execute automated and manual test sequences, verify system performance, and document test results.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and integration procedures.
  • Ensure safety and cleanliness of the workspace through adherence to Health & Safety, COSHH, and 5S standards.
  • Support continuous improvement activities, including Kaizen and SQCDP.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a production environment with mechanical assembly or electrical/RF test focus.
  • Recognized Apprenticeship in Aerospace, Space, or related high-quality production/maintenance field.
