Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space Limited in Corsham, Wiltshire, is seeking a Spacecraft Operations Engineer to join an operations development team to design and run a functional spacecraft operations centre for a fleet of spacecraft. Reporting to the Head of Space Engineering, you will provide technical input into bids, design ground stations, network concepts and support post-launch operations.

Qualifications

• Spacecraft operations interest and design experience.
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
• Interest in programming technical solutions (e.g. Python, MATLAB).
• Experience in spacecraft operations and design is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Spacecraft operation planning and execution, including telemetry analysis.
• Aid in risk assessment of spacecraft design, build and test.
• Collaborate with Project Lead to design operational concepts for the mission.
• Provide input into end-to-end satellite mission design and bid activities.
