Job summary

Expleo in Stevenage is seeking Mechanical AIT Engineers for space projects, permanent or contract. The role will be based at the customer site in Stevenage, five days a week, with work spanning assembly and integration on spacecraft payloads.

We value prior AIT experience and aerospace assembly background, plus skills in reading 3D drawings and using Dragonfly/3DXML, with a focus on quality and proper documentation throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (HNC/HND/apprenticeship).
• Experience in aerospace/space or high-quality production field.

Responsibilities

• Input into the mechanical assembly process via work orders.
• Install and integrate kits of parts and ensure successful installation.
• Read 3D drawings and technical notes using Dragonfly or 3DXML.
• Ensure procedures and documents contain engineering data and meet quality standards.
