Job summary

CGI is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our Space business in the UK, delivering secure, resilient space systems. You will apply MBSE, model architectures and manage requirements across the lifecycle, working with multidisciplinary teams on mission-critical projects.

We value strong analytical minds, collaboration, and ability to influence technical decisions. UK Security clearance or eligibility is required for this hybrid role based in Reading/London/Leatherhead.

Qualifications

• Educational background in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent.
• Proven experience applying systems engineering principles, processes and methodologies in complex environments.
• Knowledge of requirements capture, analysis, management and traceability with systems engineering tools.
• Experience in MBSE, systems architecture, requirements engineering or digital systems engineering.
• Knowledge of modelling tools and frameworks such as NAF, IBM Rhapsody, Cameo or Enterprise Architect.
• Understanding of digital environments including cloud platforms, IT architecture or DevOps.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to apply systems thinking to evolving requirements and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Design & Deliver: apply systems engineering across lifecycle for space systems.
• Analyse & Define: capture and manage system requirements aligned with stakeholder needs.
• Model & Architect: develop system models using MBSE and recognised frameworks.
• Integrate & Validate: support system integration, verification and validation against requirements.

• Collaborate & Influence: work with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to guide decisions.
• Assure & Improve: support technical assurance, risk management and continuous improvement.
• Lead & Develop: mentor engineers and contribute to future business opportunities.
