Job summary

National Composites Centre (NCC), part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult, is recruiting a Programme Manager for the Space Sector. Bristol based with hybrid working (minimum 2 days on site), you will lead programmes, manage a small team and support business development in your sector.

You will oversee a portfolio of space-focused projects—advanced materials, digitalisation and end-to-end engineering—helping UK space players from startups to major manufacturers, aligned with the UK Space

Qualifications

• Established Programme Manager or equivalent responsibilities.
• You must have worked within the UK Space sector.
• Experience of advanced manufacturing, ideally in the Space sector.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Engineering background or composite materials knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project plans with clear objectives, milestones, stakeholder engagement approaches, and activity schedules.
• Work closely with the Director of Delivery – Space to prioritise and sequence opportunities in line with our strategic goals.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across internal teams.
• Support proposal and bid development, including preparation of key documents, internal reviews and governance processes.
• Track and report portfolio progress, risks and next steps with clarity.
