Job summary

National Composites Centre (NCC) in Bristol is expanding its capability with a new facility and hires to support UK industry. The role focuses on developing advanced polymer, fibre and composite technologies through applied research and collaborative projects.

You will work with state-of-the-art facilities, perform data analysis, and prepare reports for stakeholders. Masters in Chemistry/Materials Science and relevant industry or academic experience are desirable. Hybrid working is standard.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Materials Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• Experience in polymer chemistry, analytical chemistry, materials process development, testing capability development, materials characterisation (surfaces/interfaces) or mechanical testing.
• Collaborative mindset and strong communication with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver applied research projects advancing polymer, fibre and composite tech.
• Analyse and interpret test data to evaluate material performance.
• Produce high-quality technical reports and recommendations for customers.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to solve engineering challenges.
