National Composites Centre (NCC) in Bristol is seeking an Associate Research Engineer to advance materials science projects that support UK industry. The role combines hands-on research with collaboration across teams, delivering data-driven insights from polymer, fibre and composite developments.

You will work in a hybrid setting (2 days on site, 3 days from home) and contribute to state-of-the-art facilities, testing and process development while building expertise in materials

Qualifikationen

• Masters degree in a relevant discipline with 1–2 years' work experience or industry/research exposure.
• Experience in polymer chemistry, materials testing, or materials characterisation is desirable.
• Strong ability to analyse data and prepare technical reports.

• Deliver applied research projects accelerating development and industrial adoption of advanced polymers, fibre and composites.
• Analyse and interpret test data to evaluate material performance and guide decisions.
• Produce high-quality technical reports, recommendations and outputs for customers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to solve engineering challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
