Job summary

Expleo Group in Stevenage is seeking Mechanical AIT Engineers to join their team. This role involves mechanical assembly and testing of satellite components, requiring strong experience in integration processes and high-quality production.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a high-quality production environment relating to mechanical assembly.
• Experience in a clean-room environment including FOD/ESD practices.
• Experience in the manufacture of aluminium/carbon honeycomb core panels.

Responsibilities

• Utilise work orders for mechanical assembly processes.
• Read and understand 3D drawings and technical notes.
• Complete installation and integration of kits of parts.

Skills

Prior AIT experience

Appreciation of satellite integration processes

Good understanding of complex mechanical systems

Lean manufacturing techniques

High mechanical skills

Good problem-solving skills

Good communication skills

Education

NC, HNC or HND in engineering/maintenance

Apprenticeship in Aerospace/Space
