Job summary

London Wellness Academy is seeking Spa Therapists to join our onboard team, delivering professional massage and body treatments to guests while training in our luxury spa offerings.

Candidates must hold a Swedish massage diploma (150 hours minimum) and may benefit from aromatherapy or reflexology qualifications. Training will be provided at our London-based academy and aboard ships worldwide.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Swedish Massage including the anatomy and physiology of the body.
• Additional courses like aromatherapy, Shiatsu, Reflexology, Reiki, or Sports Massage Therapy are beneficial to your application, but not essential.

LONDON WELLNESS ACADEMY – Spa Therapist

Massage Therapists administer professional massage and body treatments to our onboard guests. The ideal candidate must have thorough knowledge of various massage modalities, possesses a general understanding of body treatments, and be willing to train in our specific massage and body treatment offerings. Excellent communication skills are required, and the candidate must be able to learn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide wellness solutions to meet the needs of our guests.

QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must be qualified in Swedish massage with at least 150 hours of certified training. Any additional qualifications like aromatherapy, Shiatsu, Reflexology, Reiki, or Sports Massage Therapy are a great advantage.

All nationalities must have a certificate/diploma.

Successful candidates will be invited to train within our prestigious private Spa and Wellness school, The London Wellness Academy.

During your time at the Academy, students are provided with world‑class massage therapy courses and professional development from leading experts in the spa and wellness industry.

Our trainers in London are experts in the field of wellness and it’s their job to pass on their knowledge, skills and confidence to all new hires. Perfect your knowledge of skin biology and cosmetic chemistry as you learn to master the latest new treatments.

After successfully passing your LWA Interview you will then be expected to attend our intensive training program in London or one of our centres located around the world where we will push you to your limits. During training, you’ll be assessed carefully on your performance and your training results will determine your ship.

AVERAGE SALARY

Salaries for massage therapists working onboard will vary greatly depending on how hard you work. This job allows you to demand your own wage as it comes with uncapped commissions.
