Job summary

LUSH Spa in Birmingham is hiring Spa Therapists for 24 or 32 hour contracts, permanent full-time roles. You'll perform immersive spa treatments, guide clients through experiences, and support daily spa operations in a busy store environment.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Beauty Therapy or equivalent, plus hands-on massage and facial experience and a passion for exceptional customer service. On-site shifts, onboarding in Birmingham, and health and wellbeing perks are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Beauty Therapy or equivalent required.
• Experience performing body massages and facials preferred.
• Strong customer service and guest experience focus required.

Responsibilities

Who are we looking for?

The Lush Spa allows us to showcase LUSH’s values, ethos and products in a truly amazing way. There is no better treat for us as a company than to be able to spend an hour or so with a client whilst using and demonstrating our products on their skin, creating the ‘ultimate demo’ for our products. The level of training provided to our Spa Therapists along with the uniqueness of the treatments and the comfort of the environment create truly beautiful experiences to all our clients!

We are looking for enthusiastic Spa Therapists with a passion for performing immersive experiences on either a 24 or 32 hour contract.

Good to know

Start date & Onboarding

The successful candidate will start on Monday 14th September or earlier. They will complete at least 4 weeks of onboarding at their assigned location in Birmingham. The onboarding period will allow them to learn about the brand, meet their colleagues and begin training.

Training

Upon completion of the onboarding period, you will attend a 6-week training course at the Lush Spa Training Center in Poole, Dorset. This training period will run Monday through Friday and you will learn 6 of our core treatments.

To be considered for this role, you must be available for travel to Poole on Sunday 11th October and available for the entire training period, which begins on Monday 12th October and ends on Friday 20th November.

Travel expenses to and from Poole will be covered by LUSH, as well as travel expenses for a weekend of your choice during the training period. Additionally, accommodations in Poole will be provided for the duration of your stay.

Please note that the training dates are not flexible and cannot be changed.

Start date in your spa location

Upon completion of your training, your expected first week in your spa will be the week commencing 23rd November.

Responsibilities

• Performing Lush Spa Treatments following set routines and standards
• Representing the Lush Spa on the shop floor and across the business
• Looking after clients' experiences, making sure their journey runs smoothly
• Supporting the day-to-day running of the spa
• Booking and upselling treatments using our booking system
• Maintaining high standards in the spa (cleanliness, presentation, hygiene…)
• Being responsible for your own wellbeing using the available tools that are provided
• Training your colleagues and new starters in your skill set
• Giving and receiving clear feedback
• Keeping product & treatment knowledge up to date
• Supporting stock control

Skills & Experience

• An NVQ Level 3 qualification in Beauty Therapy or equivalent in Holistic Therapy, which includes full-body massage.
• Practical work experience within a similar role performing body massages and facials.
• Passionate about delivering excellent customer service and treatments.
• Passionate about representing the LUSH brand, ethics and products both on the shop floor and in the Spa.
