Job summary

The Newt in Somerset is seeking a Spa Cleaner to maintain pristine Spa, Wellness and Fitness spaces while delivering exceptional hospitality. You will work with the Spa team to ensure areas are spotless, well-stocked and presented to the highest standards, contributing to an unforgettable guest experience.

You'll perform cleaning across wet areas and treatment spaces, replenish supplies, and support guest services when needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a cleaning role.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and pride in high standards.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisation and time-management skills.
  • Confident working independently and as part of a large team.
  • An understanding of stock monitoring and detailed cleaning checklists.
  • Experience using deep-cleaning equipment and tools.
  • A willingness to learn, complete training and provide friendly, intuitive service to guests.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and organise our Spa, Wellness and Fitness facilities, including wet areas, thermal suites, treatment rooms and changing facilities.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of hygiene throughout guest and colleague areas.
  • Replenish laundry, amenities and other essential supplies across the department.
  • Monitor stock levels and support the reordering of operating and guest supplies.
  • Follow deep-cleaning and targeted cleaning schedules for guest-facing and back-of-house spaces.
  • Report maintenance or repair requirements and coordinate with Engineering and other relevant teams.
  • Support the daily operation of the Spa and assist with guest services when required.
  • Work collaboratively with Spa colleagues and other departments across the Estate.

Job description

Spa Cleaner
£12.92 per hour plus tronc and fantastic benefits
40 hours per week across 5 days, including regular weekends. Shifts include early starts from 6:30am and late finishes at 9:00pm.
Due to the location of the Estate, a driving licence is recommended for this role.

Our Spa Cleaner

As our Spa Cleaner, you’ll play an essential role in delivering an outstanding experience for every guest who visits our Spa, Wellness and Fitness facilities. Working closely with the wider Spa team, you’ll ensure our beautiful spaces are spotlessly clean, fully stocked and presented to the highest possible standard. This is a hands‑on role for someone who takes pride in the details, enjoys working as part of a team and understands how exceptional cleanliness contributes to unforgettable hospitality.

Key Responsibilities
