Job summary

Fairmont Southampton is seeking a Spa Attendant to join our luxury spa team. You will support guest services, prepare treatment rooms, restock supplies, and ensure the spa remains calm, clean, and welcoming.

Reporting to the Spa Manager, you will assist therapists, reception, and hotel departments to deliver a seamless guest experience aligned with Fairmont standards. Flexibility to work varied shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• Previous spa or hospitality experience is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are required.
• Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to busy environments.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and assist with check-in and inquiries.
• Prepare treatment rooms and restock supplies between treatments.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of all spa areas and reception spaces.

We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Southampton as our new Spa Attendant. Reporting to the Spa Manager, the Spa Assistant plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of Fairmont Southampton's award-winning spa. This position is responsible for assisting with guest services, maintaining spa facilities, supporting therapists and reception operations, and ensuring the spa environment is consistently clean, calm, and welcoming. The Spa Assistant contributes directly to delivering a seamless and memorable guest experience in line with Fairmont and Accor luxury standards., Guest Service & Experience

• Welcome spa guests warmly and assist with check-in, orientation, and general inquiries.
• Provide guests with information about spa facilities, services, amenities, and spa etiquette.
• Escort guests to changing rooms, relaxation areas, or treatment rooms as required.
• Ensure guest comfort at all times by anticipating needs and responding promptly and courteously to requests.

Spa Operations & Support

• Assist the Spa Manager and spa team with daily operational needs to ensure smooth spa operations.
• Support spa therapists by preparing treatment rooms, replenishing supplies, and ensuring rooms are properly set between treatments.
• Maintain cleanliness, presentation, and organization of all spa areas, including treatment rooms, relaxation areas, locker rooms, and reception spaces.
• Restock towels, robes, linens, beverages, and amenities throughout the day.

Cleanliness, Safety & Standards

• Ensure all spa facilities and equipment are cleaned and sanitized according to health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Follow all spa policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Report any maintenance issues, safety concerns, or equipment malfunctions to the Spa Manager.

Teamwork & Administrative Support

• Work collaboratively with spa therapists, reception staff, and hotel departments to deliver a seamless guest experience.
• Assist with appointment scheduling, retail displays, and basic administrative tasks as needed.
• Support special spa events, promotions, and seasonal initiatives.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by the Spa Manager.

Experience

• Previous experience in a spa, wellness, hospitality, or customer service environment is preferred; luxury hotel or resort experience is an asset.
• Experience interacting with guests in a service-focused role.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Additional training or certification in hospitality, wellness, or customer service is an asset.
