The working pattern is 5 days over 6, with shifts between 7:00 AM-3:00 PM and 11:30 AM-7:30 PM. The role is closed on Sundays, with every third weekend off.
As Sous Chef, you will lead a team of up to 12 staff members, providing freshly prepared meals for approximately 250 students and staff, including breakfast, lunch, supper, and snacks. You will assist the Kitchen Manager with menu planning, food production, purchasing, and stock control.
Your responsibilities include menu development, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, managing stock to minimize waste, and training the kitchen team. You will ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies regarding uniform and PPE.
Outside of term time, the school is involved in private lettings and international programs, such as Easter and summer schools.
