Job summary

Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa is seeking a Sous Chef to lead a team of six chefs and three porters at Barnett Hill Hotel, just outside London. You will assist the Head Chef, develop menus and oversee food production from sourcing to presentation for all hotel dining venues.

The role requires creating high-quality menus, driving kitchen standards, and delivering excellent customer experiences with a Rosette-focused standard. 4 weeks holiday, parking and staff discounts are included.

Qualifications

• Experience developing a quality hotel restaurant to 2 rosettes standard and beyond.
• Proven record of selecting and retaining strong kitchen staff.
• Able to drive and motivate a kitchen team to high standards.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to Head Chef and leading a team of 6 Chefs and 3 Kitchen Porters.
• Developing and delivering menus across restaurant, banqueting, and events.
• Ensuring HACCP, hygiene, health and safety compliance and maintaining GP targets.
