Searcys at The British Academy is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. You’ll work with the senior culinary staff in a busy main kitchen and may undertake pastry work as required, with pastry experience highly desirable but not essential.

Responsabilités

• Support the Executive Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring consistently high standards of food and service.
• Produce food preparation across the operation, including functions and events in different areas of the business.
• Support the training, development and supervision of junior chefs, helping to maintain a positive and professional kitchen environment.
• Work closely with key members of the team to plan and deliver food requirements across all areas of the business.
• Ensure the smooth running of daily kitchen operations and the consistent delivery of the agreed menu offering.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency in line with expectations set by the Executive Chef.
• Support with pastry preparation and production when required. Previous pastry experience would be highly desirable, although you do not need to be a specialist Pastry Chef.
