Job summary

Marston’s PLC in Chippenham is seeking a Sous Chef to join our lively pub kitchen. You’ll be second in command to the Head Chef, leading by example to ensure hot, high-quality dishes reach the pass every service.

You’ll oversee the kitchen during service, run the line, support development of the team, and maintain the highest standards of food and service. The role offers a pathway to head up your own kitchen through our internal career development.

Qualifications

• Experience in branded kitchens or similar roles.
• Experience in a kitchen environment as a Commis Chef or Sous Chef is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Be right in the action in our kitchen, second in command to the Head Chef – stepping up and covering for them when they’re not on shift.
• Accountable for running the line during service
• Oversee, organise, and encourage the kitchen team - helping to develop their skills
• Be passionate about maintaining the highest standards of food and service
