Job summary

wagamama in Exeter is seeking a sous chef to support the shifts and lead the kitchen team. You will ensure every dish is made to order with fresh ingredients, maintaining high standards and bold flavours.

You’ll work with management to run a vibrant kitchen and coach the team to deliver excellent service. Expect to focus on training, managing on the line, and developing staff while controlling costs and maintaining food safety.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen line and managing a team during busy service.
• Strong focus on training, developing others and maintaining high standards.
• Understanding of food safety, health and safety standards, and cost awareness (gross profit, stock, labour).

Responsibilities

• Work closely with management to run a vibrant, high‑performing kitchen.
