Knekt Hub Ltd near Chester is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to lead the spa kitchen within a luxury spa resort. The role focuses on fresh, seasonal, nutritious cooking with a fusion influence, including brunches, lunches, afternoon tea and select evening services.

The position offers a 40-hour contract, service charge, paid overtime and a strong benefits package, with opportunities for creative input and long-term growth within the resort.

Qualifications

• Experience in a quality hotel, restaurant or similar fresh-food kitchen.
• Strong technical cooking skills.
• Interest in fusion cuisine and international flavours.
• Confidence contributing ideas to menus.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail.
• Good commercial awareness around stock and food costs.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and delivering fresh, high-quality dishes.
• Supporting menu development and new flavour combinations.
• Working with seasonal and nutritious ingredients.
• Bringing ideas to a modern, fusion-led food offering.
• Maintaining excellent presentation and consistency.
• Supporting and developing junior chefs.
• Assisting with stock control, GP, rotation and kitchen costs.
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and organisation.
• Leading confidently during service and supporting the wider kitchen team.
