Job summary

Chartwells Independent in Bournemouth is seeking a passionate Sous Chef to join our team. You will support the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations and help deliver fresh, high-quality food on a Monday–Friday schedule.

You will lead and support the kitchen team, ensure top food hygiene standards, and contribute to menu development while maintaining a great work-life balance in a professional catering environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef or Chef de Partie ready to take the next step.
• Passion for food and delivering great customer experiences.
• Strong cooking skills with attention to detail.
• Experience leading or supporting a kitchen team.
• Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Hands-on, positive team player with a pride in work.

Responsibilities

£15 per hour | Monday–Friday

Are you a passionate Sous Chef looking for a great work-life balance, working Monday to Friday with your evenings and weekends largely free?

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Sous Chef to join our team in Bournemouth, supporting the kitchen operation and helping deliver fresh, high-quality food every day.

• Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Preparing and cooking fresh, high-quality food to an excellent standard.
• Helping lead and motivate the kitchen team during service.
