Job summary

Browns Wilmslow is seeking a Sous Chef who loves delivering great food and leading a busy kitchen. You’ll run a section, train your team, and step in for the Head Chef when needed.

You will work within Browns Brasserie and Bar, serving classically British dishes and providing warm, welcoming service. You’ll be responsible for stock, food ordering, and maintaining high standards with your brigade.

Qualifications

• Experience as a sous chef or in a leadership kitchen role.
• Proven ability to train and motivate a kitchen team.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety in a busy kitchen.
• Experience with stock control and ordering processes.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, consistent food.

• Be driven to smash targets with your team.
• Train and inspire your team to deliver food to be proud of.
• Support your Head Chef with food ordering, food preparation and stock control.
• Have mastered the art of working with a branded menu.
• Have confidence in managing Chefs and the wider Kitchen Team.
• Oversee that your team conforms to health and hygiene regulations.
