COOK Pastry & Pies in Sittingbourne, Kent is looking for a Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. You will work with colleagues to ensure recipes are followed and our products meet high standards.

We provide training, a supportive environment, and a path to grow within a proud, independent, B Corp-certified business that values people and the community.

Qualifications

• Creative flair for making beautiful, delicious meals.
• Good communication and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Experience in a kitchen or food industry is desirable but training is provided.

Join Our COOK Family as a Commis Chef

Location: Sittingbourne, Kent - COOK Pastry & Pies

Hours: Sunday - Thursday 6am - 2pm

Pay rate: £35,217.00 per year / £18.06 per hour

The Role

As a Commis Chef, you will:

• Work as part of a team to ensure all recipes are followed to exact specifications and that our products meet the highest standards.
• Help create a consistent, nourishing experience for our customers with every meal.
• Use your keen attention to detail and creative flair to make our remarkable products look as good as they taste.
• Maintain consistency in presentation and preparation to delight our customers every time.

What We are Looking For

• Creative Flair: A natural talent for creating beautiful, delicious meals.
• Team Player: Hardworking, positive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Experience: Prior experience in a kitchen or food industry is desirable, but full training is provided.
• Skills: Good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Desirable: NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Catering is a bonus but not essential.
