Job summary

COOK is seeking a Commis Chef at Sittingbourne, Kent. You will join a dedicated team, following recipes precisely and helping deliver meals that meet our high standards. The role supports training and growth within a proud, independent B Corp business.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or food industry experience is desirable, but full training is provided.
• Good communication and a positive, can-do attitude.
• NVQ Level 2 in Catering is a bonus but not essential.

Join Our COOK Family as a Commis Chef

Location:

Sittingbourne, Kent - COOK Pastry & Pies

Hours:

Sunday - Thursday 6am – 2pm

Pay rate :

£35,217.00 per year / £18.06 per hour

The Role

As a Commis Chef, you’ll:

• Work as part of a team to ensure all recipes are followed to exact specifications and that our products meet the highest standards.
• Help create a consistent, nourishing experience for our customers with every meal.
• Use your keen attention to detail and creative flair to make our remarkable products look as good as they taste.
• Maintain consistency in presentation and preparation to delight our customers every time.

What We’re Looking For

• Creative Flair: A natural talent for creating beautiful, delicious meals.
• Team Player: Hardworking, positive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Experience: Prior experience in a kitchen or food industry is desirable, but full training is provided.
• Skills: Good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Desirable: NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Catering is a bonus but not essential.
