Platinum Recruitment is partnering with a renowned Scottish distillery to recruit a Sous Chef. You will work closely with the Head Chef to deliver Michelin-level dining in a 40-cover restaurant, while mentoring a small kitchen team.
This role requires enthusiasm, strong food safety knowledge, good communication with front-of-house and management, and the ability to work with local suppliers to create luxurious dishes paired with whiskies.
Salary: GBP45000 - GBP45000 per annum + + Allowances

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at a very exciting time for the distillery in Scotland. You will work closely with the Head Chef to always deliver consistent Michelin level food. Working within a highly skilled kitchen team with multi-Michelin star experience, you will have a huge passion for preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes throughout each section. You would be expected to have an elevated level of diligence and the ability to work without close supervision.
To succeed in this role, you will have knowledge and ability to guide and mentor the team highlighting your expertise at a Michelin level. Good interpersonal skills with both kitchen, front of house staff and management. Working knowledge of safe food handling and food rotation. Demonstrate a friendly and professional approach. Be literate, numerate and have problem solving skills. Be enthusiastic about developing own skills and knowledge.
Experience withina Michelin star environment would be beneficial.
You willwork ina small team to create Michelin-level dishes for a 40-cover restaurant that has a relaxed yet high-end feel to the room offering a tasting menu.
