Job summary

Signature Senior Lifestyle Limited in Reigate is seeking a Sous Chef to join our luxury care and nursing home kitchen. You will be second in command to the Head Chef, ensuring every meal is nutritious and restaurant-quality while developing the Chef de Partie and Commis Chef.

With 5 years of kitchen experience and an NVQ Level 2/3 in Food & Hygiene or Catering Services, you bring COSHH awareness and a calm, proactive approach.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience working in a kitchen.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Food & Hygiene or Catering Services.
• Supervisory experience and COSHH awareness are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the kitchen team to ensure high-quality, nutritious meals.
• Second in command to Head Chef; oversee Chef de Partie and Commis Chef.
• Contribute to regular menu development with creativity and passion.

Your role at Signature

Use your experience and passion for amazing food, when you join Signature Senior Lifestyle as a Sous Chef. You'll take on an important role in a superbly-equipped kitchen at our luxury care and nursing home in Reigate.

What you will do

As Sous Chef you’ll play a crucial role in keeping our busy kitchen running smoothly. Second in command to the Head Chef, you’ll be responsible for ensuring every meal that leaves the kitchen is nutritious and restaurant quality.

You’ll manage and develop the Chef de Partie and Commis Chef, sharing your experience and knowledge.

You’ll also use your creativity and passion to help the Head Chef to regularly review and develop the menu.
