Job summary

Signature Senior Lifestyle Limited is seeking an experienced Regional Head Chef to lead kitchens across our portfolio. This roving role involves travel to Signature homes in the UK, shaping menus to deliver seasonal, cost-effective and nutritionally balanced meals for residents.

You will supervise a team including a Sous Chef and Chefs de Partie, with a focus on development, COSHH and Health & Safety compliance, and you will hold a full, clean driving licence.

Qualifications

Must have NVQ Level 3 in Catering Services.
Supervisory experience in a kitchen environment.
Awareness of COSHH, Health & Safety requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead a busy kitchen across multiple sites in a roving capacity.
Travel to Signature homes within the portfolio to oversee Kitchens.
Develop and evolve menus, balancing nutrition, seasonality and costs.
Manage and develop the kitchen team: Sous Chef, Chefs de Partie and Commis Chefs.

Your role at Signature

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head Chef to join Signature Senior Lifestyle in a roving capacity, providing leadership and support across our portfolio of luxury care homes.

What you will do

Travel Requirements -
As a Regional Head Chef, this position will require travel to homes in our portfolio.

The Head Chef is the heart and soul of our kitchen, in charge of creating a menu that offers our residents an unrivalled dining experience. You’ll help create and evolve the food offering across all areas of our community to produce the highest standards, ensuring food is delicious, seasonal and cost-effective. You’ll be confident devising dishes for special dietary requirements, whatever the expectations of our diners, while meeting all their nutritional needs.

You’ll also be leading a team, managing and developing a Sous Chef, Chefs de Partie and Commis Chefs, helping them to grow and develop.
