Type: Full-Time | 4 days on, 3 days off
About the Role:
We’re looking to recruit a talented and passionate Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and help lead the kitchen team at our award-winning, food-led pub near Wokingham. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a kitchen focused on quality, seasonality, and full ingredient traceability.
You’ll play a vital role in driving daily service, mentoring junior chefs, and supporting the creative evolution of our menu as we aim for 2 AA Rosettes.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Leading shifts and supporting the Head Chef in day-to-day operations
Running all sections with confidence and high attention to detail
Taking responsibility for ordering, stock control, and waste management
Ensuring health & safety and food hygiene standards are upheld at all times
Assisting in the development of junior chefs through coaching and training
Contributing ideas for seasonal menus and specials
Maintaining excellent communication with the front-of-house team
About You:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous in a rosette-standard kitchen
Genuine passion for British seasonal cooking, nose-to-tail principles, and sustainability
Calm under pressure with a natural flair for leadership
Highly organised, clean, and efficient
Experience working with fresh, local produce – butchery and larder skills advantageous
Right to work in the UK
