The Leicester Arms in Penshurst, Kent is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our countryside pub kitchen. You will work closely with the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef to lead the kitchen, inspire the brigade and deliver consistently brilliant food.

You will deliver high-quality, seasonal dishes, manage stock and food costs, and help develop menus and specials while maintaining high standards of quality, presentation and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef ready to step up.
• Strong leadership and the ability to develop and motivate a kitchen brigade.
• Solid understanding of food safety and kitchen compliance.

We're looking for a talented, passionate and ambitious Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at The Leicester Arms, our beautiful countryside pub with rooms in the heart of Penshurst, Kent.

Part of the Little & Large Pub Company, The Leicester Arms is all about exceptional seasonal food, genuine hospitality and creating somewhere guests love coming back to.

We're looking for someone who loves cooking, takes pride in the details and is ready to play a key role in driving our kitchen forward.

THE ROLE

Working closely with our Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef and wider food team, you'll help lead the kitchen, inspire the brigade and deliver consistently brilliant food.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Delivering high-quality, seasonal dishes using fantastic British produce
• Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
• Leading, developing and motivating the kitchen team
• Maintaining exceptional standards of food quality, presentation and cleanliness
• Managing stock, food costs, wastage and kitchen organisation
• Helping develop exciting menus, specials and seasonal dishes
• Taking ownership of service and leading confidently in the Head Chef's absence
