Job summary

Cosy Club Reading is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to lead a busy kitchen, coaching staff and delivering great hospitality from brunch to dinner. You will be trusted to manage service, mentor junior chefs and contribute to a positive team culture.

Qualifications

• Experience as a sous chef or senior CDP with kitchen leadership.
• Proven ability to coach and develop junior staff.
• Strong passion for hospitality and guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Be a coach, supporter and encourager to the team; share skills and responsibilities.
• Help run and develop the kitchen and ensure smooth service.
• Support Head Chef and deliver high standards across brunch, lunch and dinner service.

Job description

As a result of an internal move, Cosy Club Reading is looking for a new Sous Chef. At Cosy Club, you can expect casual days, vibrant evenings, from brunch and coffee to dinner and drinks, our guests join us for an experience like no other.

As one of our Sous Chefs, you could earn in the region of circa £45,000 per year:

• Base Salary: Up to £37,000 per year depending on experience
• Tronc: Estimated between £6.5k - £9.5k annually. Our tips are shared equally across the team based on hours worked.
• Bonus: Up to £2.5k additional bonus potential
• Overtime Pay: Get paid for any hours worked beyond your contracted hours at your normal hourly rate - no pre-approval required.
