The Role

The Hotel is looking for an experienced, creative, and motivated Sous Chef to join their busy kitchen team.

Location: Sywell, Northamptonshire

Salary: from £35,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes.
• Assist the Head Chef in creating menu items, recipes, and developing dishes, including new presentation styles.
• Ensure the consistent production of high-quality food.
• Manage cost-effective food production, portion control, and waste management.
• Monitor storage, food rotation, and sanitation standards.
• Support health and safety and food hygiene practices.
• Assist in training and developing team members.
• Deputise for the Head Chef when necessary.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef, capable of working efficiently under pressure.
• Minimum Level 1 and 2 Food Safety and Health & Safety qualifications.
• Knowledge of COSHH and chemical safety regulations.
• Creative with a passion for high-quality food.
• Proficiency in various cooking methods and equipment.
• Strong multitasking and communication skills.
• Friendly, adaptable, hardworking, and enthusiastic.
