Job summary

Liverpool Experience Campus in Liverpool is seeking a proactive Sous Chef to support the Head Chef, delivering outstanding culinary operations across our sports and entertainment venues.

You will lead a fast-paced kitchen, ensure food safety and high-quality presentation, manage stock and labour, and develop both permanent and casual team members to deliver memorable guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Sous Chef in high-volume hospitality, events or sports venues.
• Hold relevant culinary qualifications and Food Safety Level 3.
• Strong leadership, financial awareness and ability to develop kitchen teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen to ensure quality and guest experience.
• Develop and motivate the kitchen team, manage food production, stock and labour controls.

About The Role

As our Sous Chef, you will support and deputise for the Head Chef in delivering outstanding culinary operations across our Sports and Entertainment business. You will lead by example in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment, ensuring exceptional food quality, presentation, safety and guest experience at every event. You'll play a key role in developing and motivating the kitchen team, managing food production across multiple outlets, maintaining stock and labour controls, and driving operational excellence. From sporting events and concerts to large‑scale multi‑site events, you'll help ensure every service is delivered to the highest standards.

We're looking for someone who has proven experience as a Sous Chef within a high‑volume hospitality, events or sports venue environment, with strong culinary skills and a passion for delivering exceptional food. You will hold relevant culinary qualifications alongside Food Safety Level 3 and have a thorough understanding of food safety, allergens and kitchen compliance. We're looking for a confident leader who thrives under pressure, can organise multiple food operations simultaneously, motivates teams to succeed, and takes pride in maintaining the highest standards of quality, cleanliness and guest experience. A positive attitude, strong financial awareness and the ability to lead and develop both permanent and casual kitchen teams are essential. Above all, you'll bring energy, resilience and a passion for creating memorable experiences for our guests whilst inspiring your team to perform at their very best.
