Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers plc at the Dukes Head in Billericay is seeking a passionate Sous Chef who loves great food, trains great people and leaves guests smiling. You will run a section, lead the kitchen team and step up in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring you deliver consistent branded dishes.

You will train and inspire your team, assist with food ordering, prep and stock control, and ensure high health and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Experience running a kitchen section and leading a team.
• Ability to train and develop kitchen staff to deliver consistent, branded dishes.
• Strong understanding of stock management and food ordering processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily kitchen operations and ensure the team works as one.
• Mentor and coach chefs to deliver high-quality dishes.
• Assist with food ordering, prep, and stock control under Head Chef guidance.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety and brand standards.
