Sous Chef – Fine Dining | Full-Time | Leeds

Salary: Competitive + Paid Overtime Opportunities Location: Leeds Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent Hours: 35 hours per week (5 days over 7, primarily Monday–Friday with occasional weekends)

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, cook, and present food to a high standard across various services
  • Supervise and motivate a small team of chefs
  • Lead kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and labelling legislation
  • Respond to dietary requirements and special requests
  • Manage stock rotation and assist with inventory control
  • Contribute to menu development and attend training sessions
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in line with internal policies
What We’re Looking For
  • Significant experience in fresh food-led kitchen operations
  • A flair for modern food presentation and attention to detail
  • NVQ Level 2 or above in Culinary Arts (or equivalent experience)
  • CIEH Level 2 Certificate in Food Safety (or equivalent)
  • Proven ability to supervise and motivate a team
  • Strong organisational and customer service skills
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required
