We are hiring a Sous Chef at ISS at our Radbroke Campus. You will take the lead in delivering exceptional culinary experiences across two coffee shops, a main restaurant, and a busy onsite hospitality team.

As Senior Sous Chef, you will be at the heart of the kitchen, creating, producing, and elevating menus while leading a talented team of 10 chefs. You will ensure every dish meets the highest standards of quality, presentation, and flavour, while maintaining operational efficiency and profitability.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a hands‑on, creative role where you will oversee all kitchen operations, from daily production to menu innovation.

You will inspire and develop your team, implement best‑in‑class cooking techniques, and introduce new culinary ideas that delight customers and enhance their dining experience. The Senior Sous Chef will balance leadership and hands‑on cooking, ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly, consistently delivers high‑quality meals, and remains at the forefront of catering trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure quality ingredients are sourced and utilised effectively.
  • Assist in creating seasonal specials, promotional dishes, and new initiatives to enhance the customer experience.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
  • Minimum SCQF Level 8 or equivalent cookery qualification.
  • Experience in a similar role within large‑scale, high‑end catering or fast casual food service outlets.
  • Exceptional culinary skills with a passion for producing high‑quality dishes.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience motivating and developing kitchen teams.
  • IT literate with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Innovative, proactive, and able to balance hands‑on cooking with operational management.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to handle challenges and maintain smooth kitchen operations.
