Job summary

Care UK in Haslemere is seeking a passionate Sous Chef to join Chestnut View Care Home. You will help create fresh nutritious meals for residents, support the Head Chef, and lead by example. This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, four days, between 7am and 5:30pm, with straight shifts and no evenings.

An induction will help you learn the healthcare standards and kitchen procedures. Previous care home experience is desirable, and we offer a benefits package including discounts, long service

• Strong cooking and food safety knowledge
• Ability to lead by example in a busy kitchen

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Chef with menu planning and meal preparation
• Lead kitchen team during service and ensure high standards

We are looking for a highly skilled Sous chef to create fresh nutritious meals for our residents by way of using the best fresh ingredients available. We are looking for a passionate Chef that will support the Head Chef, lead by example and have the creative flair to showcase high level hospitality. The role consists of straight shifts & no evenings! There will be a fully supported induction showcasing the technical skills required in healthcare and an opportunity to mentor our teams to progress in our own Chef academy.
