Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers PLC is seeking a Sous Chef for Miller & Carter - Southampton to lead a busy kitchen and drive exceptional guest experiences. You will manage a section, train staff, and support the Head Chef with ordering, prep and stock control while upholding brand standards.

The role emphasizes leadership, food safety, and delivering consistent quality in a branded menu environment, with opportunities for progression within the group.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef or similar leadership role in a busy kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to train and develop junior kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead a kitchen section and ensure team works as one.
• Train and inspire the team to deliver high‑quality food.
• Assist Head Chef with ordering, prep and stock control.
• Manage branded menu execution and maintain standards.
• Oversee hygiene and safety compliance across the kitchen.

As a Sous Chef at Miller & Carter - Southampton , you will have a passion for serving great food, training great people and leaving a smile on our guests faces.
