Sous Chef

Join our team at Thoresby Hall, part of the Warner Hotels Group. This 221-bedroom hotel features original architecture, a Great Hall with deep armchairs, and overlooks acres of classic parkland.

Salary: 30,000 - 35,000

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Sous Chef to join us at Warner Hotels.

What will I be doing?
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring all stations are properly organised and prepared for service.
  • Supervising and training junior chefs, promoting a positive and collaborative working environment.
  • Ensuring food safety standards are always adhered to, including proper storage, handling, and cooking techniques.
  • Monitoring inventory levels and managing food costs to meet financial targets.
  • Supporting the Head Chef in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and responding to guest feedback.
What are we looking for?
  • A Sous Chef who understands the importance of working in a branded environment.
  • You will have the ability to create a culture of support and actively encourage teamwork.
  • Willingness to challenge if standards aren't meeting required levels.
  • A chef with a passion for great food and service.
What skills do I need?
  • Understanding the importance of working with a branded menu.
  • Experience managing orders, food stocks, and forecasting against occupancy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing requirements.
  • Good financial knowledge with the ability to manage costs in line with the department's budget.
