Job summary

Search Consultancy LTD is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join the senior kitchen team at one of Birmingham's leading restaurant groups. The role concentrates on delivering high standards of food quality, presentation, and service in a premium fresh-food environment.

You will work closely with the Head Chef to train and mentor junior chefs, manage stock control and ordering, and ensure food safety compliance while developing your leadership skills and progressing your career within the group.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Sous Chef within a quality-led restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment.
• Passion for fresh food, seasonal produce, and delivering exceptional standards.
• Comfortable working in a busy, high-volume kitchen.
• Strong organisation skills and attention to detail.

We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join the senior kitchen team at one of Birmingham's leading restaurant groups. The Role

As Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, and service. You will play a key leadership role, helping to manage and develop the kitchen team, oversee service, and maintain excellent operational standards.

Working closely with the Head Chef, you will assist with training and mentoring junior chefs, stock control, ordering, and maintaining food safety compliance. This is a hands‑on position within a fast‑paced, fresh‑food environment, offering the opportunity to further develop your leadership skills and progress your career.
