The Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sourcing Manager to join our growing Supply Chain Team, supporting the Sourcing Function and the wider Supply Chain across various key functions. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to advance their career in supply chain management within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

What will you be doing?

As a Sourcing Manager, you will ensure the smooth operation of day-to-day sourcing activities. Your main responsibilities include serving as the primary contact with all existing EMEA suppliers for contractual & commercial discussions, acting as an escalation point for supply continuity and compliance issues, delivering strategic sourcing & projects, leading benchmarking activities, and championing ESG initiatives with Aspire’s suppliers. Sourcing involves ensuring the right suppliers are in place to deliver cost-effective, continuous supply under appropriate contracts.

Key Responsibilities will include:

1. Supplier Performance
2. Monitoring and improving supplier performance and sustainability, establishing appropriate structures, meetings, tools, and processes.
3. Building strong strategic relationships with key suppliers.
4. Maintaining contractual relationships and coverage with suppliers.
5. Acting as an escalation point for other departments and the Supply Chain within the business, and as a conduit for suppliers regarding business or stock-out risks.
6. Negotiating and reporting on purchase price variances and value engineering with suppliers.
7. Planning and governing projects to ensure timely delivery within budget.

1. Administration
1. Supporting operations management, the wider business, and subordinates to fulfill operational administrative requirements and maintain accurate documentation.
2. Developing and implementing development & succession plans for direct reports and the wider team.
3. Overseeing key departmental activities including commodity tracking, Know Your Supplier programs, and contract negotiations.

1. GXP Compliance
1. Ensuring compliance with EU GMP, GDP, GVP, GCP, and other relevant legislation and guidance.
2. Managing post-marketing surveillance, vigilance, and ISO activities related to medical devices, controlled drugs, nutritional products, and diagnostics.
3. Adhering to GDPR and UK Data Protection regulations.

1. Authorisation
1. Acting as a designate/signatory for the Operations Director in relevant areas.
2. Approving and accepting CoGs increases proposed by suppliers.

The Person

• Direct sourcing experience required.
• Experience with sourcing platforms preferred.
• Experience managing RFIs and RFQs essential.
• Strong negotiation skills required.
• Able to balance hands-on and strategic work.
• Excellent negotiation, collaboration, communication, and people skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to contribute to decision-making processes.
• Proficiency in Excel; Power BI experience preferred.
