Senior Recruitment Consultant - Procurement & Supply Chain at Talent Drive

Sourcing Manager | Indirect Categories | Public Sector | Infrastructure Organisation

Location: Buckinghamshire

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2-3 days in office, rest remote)

Overview:

The Sourcing Manager will manage sourcing activities for multi-million-pound opportunities, focusing on idea generation and innovation across complex spend categories. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders to create and deliver significant commercial and contractual value.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and manage the sourcing process from business requirement to contract signature, targeting multi-million-pound opportunities, utilizing influencing techniques and commercial models to achieve savings.
2. Implement approved Integrated Category Strategies (ICS) through the development of the sourcing pipeline, collaborating with Category Managers and stakeholders to maximize savings.
3. Apply the Sourcing Framework for opportunities with annual spend between £100m to £300m within an OJEU environment, managing risk, governance, and legislative requirements.
4. Negotiate sourcing-enabled savings and benefits in collaboration with stakeholders.
5. Develop sourcing ideas and business cases to address business problems requiring external market expertise.
6. Facilitate transition of sourcing activities to Strategic Supplier Management to optimize delivery and contractual value.

Skills and Experience Required:

1. Extensive sourcing experience with a proven record of delivering savings.
2. Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
3. Knowledge of contract law and financial management.
4. Experience in driving value from complex sourcing opportunities.
5. Familiarity with agile, cross-functional working methods.
6. Knowledge of the UK Rail Industry and procurement processes in a reclassified environment.
