The Role

We are looking for an experienced Sound Technician to join a busy live events environment, taking responsibility for the preparation, setup and operation of professional audio systems across a wide range of events.

The role will primarily focus on corporate conferences, live events, awards, multi-room and hybrid productions, working closely with Project Managers and other technical teams to ensure the successful delivery of high‑quality audio.

You will take ownership of the technical delivery of sound on‑site, from system preparation and configuration through to show operation, troubleshooting and fault‑finding. You will also act as a key point of technical knowledge for audio within the wider team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, configure and operate professional audio systems for live events.
  • Work alongside Project Managers to specify and develop suitable audio solutions where required.
  • Configure and manage digital audio, networked audio systems and wireless microphone systems.
  • Use Dante and Dante Controller for networked audio configuration, routing and system management.

  • Manage audio requirements for recording, streaming and hybrid events.
  • Configure mixing consoles, show files, routing and system processing.
  • Carry out RF coordination and manage wireless microphone systems.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues efficiently and methodically, both during preparation and on‑site.
  • Liaise confidently with clients, venues and other technical departments throughout an event.
  • Work closely with warehouse and hire teams to maintain high standards of equipment preparation and technical delivery.
  • Support and share knowledge with less experienced technicians.
  • Contribute practical technical knowledge to the development of audio systems, equipment and processes.
  • Support other technical departments when required.
What We’re Looking For

The successful candidate will be an experienced Sound Technician with a strong track record of delivering technically demanding live events.

Corporate conferences and events will be a key focus, although experience within other live production environments such as music, theatre or touring will also be considered where the technical skills are transferable.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience delivering technically demanding corporate and live events, including large conferences, multi‑room events, awards and hybrid productions.
  • Strong experience operating professional analogue and digital audio systems.
  • Confident use of mixing consoles, show files, audio routing and system configuration.
  • Hands‑on experience with Dante and Dante Controller is essential.
  • Strong practical knowledge of networked audio and audio‑over‑IP systems.
  • Experience with wireless microphone systems and RF coordination.
  • Good understanding of PA system design, processing, coverage, room acoustics and speech intelligibility.
  • Experience managing audio for recording, streaming, hybrid events and integration with wider show systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault‑finding skills, with the ability to remain calm and methodical under pressure.
  • Confident client‑facing communication skills.
  • A collaborative approach, with the willingness to support and share knowledge with other technicians.
  • Ability to work flexibly around live event requirements, including evenings, weekends, travel and overnight stays.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with professional system‑design, control or RF‑coordination software.
  • Experience with additional digital mixing platforms and networked audio systems.
  • Relevant manufacturer or professional audio training and certification.
  • IPAF, PASMA or other access equipment qualifications.
  • Practical knowledge of temporary power distribution and electrical safety within live events.
  • Experience mixing live music or entertainment as part of corporate and awards events.
  • Full UK driving licence.

We are looking for someone who combines strong technical ability with a professional, collaborative and client‑focused approach.

You will be confident taking ownership of audio delivery on‑site, while also being comfortable working as part of a wider technical team. Attention to detail, problem‑solving and the ability to work effectively under pressure are essential.

Most importantly, you’ll be someone who enjoys live events, takes pride in delivering a high standard of work and is happy to share knowledge and contribute to the wider team.
