St Columba’s College is seeking a dedicated AV technician to provide sound, lighting and AV support across the Expressive Arts faculty and school events for the 2026/27 academic year. The role is fixed-term and full-time, with additional days for inset/ Open days and rehearsals outside term time.
The successful candidate will manage stage lighting and lighting desks, operate Digital/Analogue mixing consoles, and understand signal flow and power distribution.
This is an exciting opportunity which is offered on a fixed term contract for the 2026/27 academic year. This position will provide sound, lighting and AV support within the Expressive Arts faculty and across the wider College as we host a vast number of exciting forward-facing events throughout the school year, including the whole school show, the Eisteddford, music recitals, open mornings and smaller events / assemblies.
The successful candidate will have proven experience of managing stage lighting and using lighting desks, managing Digital/Analogue mixing consoles along with a general understanding of signal flow and power distribution. Flexibility, the ability to work collaboratively as well as on own initiative, to prioritise and deal with varying demands, as well as a sense of humour, are essential.
This fixed term role is being offered on a full-time, term time basis although part-time working will be considered for the right candidate. There is also a requirement to attend 5 Inset days, Open day and an additional 8 days to support rehearsals and maintenance of AV equipment out of term time (total of 185 working days).
